A Letter to Our Guests 

If you know us, you know we love to vacation, so that’s exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Sun, sand, golf, good food, endless drinks, and the people we love most. We’re so excited to turn this into a weekend we’ll never forget. We couldn’t imagine doing it without you. Let’s make some memories!

Our Wedding

Rachael and Chris first met at work, where Rachael had a reputation for making the most of her favorite dating app — Microsoft Teams. At the time, there wasn’t much of a spark. Both were seeing other people, work was hectic, and if you know Chris, you know he’s not exactly chatty around the office — not even with Rachael. But over time, that began to change. Late nights, long hours, shared frustrations, inside jokes, and subtle flirtation slowly brought them closer. They discovered common ground, and something more began to grow between them. That growing connection finally came to life at the company Christmas party, where they shared their first kiss — and from that moment on, the sparks were undeniable. Chris invited Rachael on a ski trip to Flagstaff. Rachael brought Chris to a family dinner. They met each other's friends, shared more time, more laughter, and deeper feelings — and before long, they were inseparable.

How it Began:

In Chris's words: Rachael’s magnetic personality, striking beauty, and unapologetic honesty had Chris completely captivated. She was everything he had been searching for — outgoing, witty, confident, surrounded by amazing friends and a warm, welcoming family. But more than anything, she made him feel like the best version of himself. From early on, he knew she was someone he wanted by his side for the rest of his life.

In Rachael's words: Chris is the kind of person who quietly commands respect. Rachael was drawn to his sharp intelligence, unwavering drive, and his deep desire to provide for her and Arthur. He carries a quiet confidence into everything he does — never flashy, but always steady. Fiercely loyal and deeply caring, Chris consistently shows up for the people he loves. He’s surrounded by an incredible group of friends who reflect the kind of man he is. With his calm presence and big heart, Chris makes her feel safe, supported, and truly seen.

Now, after four amazing years together, they've built a life filled with adventure, friendship, and love. From traveling the world to building strong roots at home, they continued to grow - not just as individuals, but as a team. And with every passing year, they fall even more in love, excited for the future they're creating and the family they'll build together.

CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?Invitations will be specific and will include the names of each guest invited or will indicate the ability to bring a plus one. Please only bring a plus one if this has been indicated on your invitation as we will have a set number of seats saved. ARE CHILDREN INVITED/WELCOME AT THE WEDDING?We love your little ones and know they’re a big part of your lives! However, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you’ll be able to enjoy a night off and celebrate with us! Thank you so much for understanding. WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?Black Tie Optional- elegant/ formal evening wear - floor length for women and tailored suits with ties or tuxedos for men. IS THERE TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED?Yes! If you are staying at the hotel or a villa through the hotel, Kiawah Island Golf Resort provides complimentary on-demand transportation from any resort owned property to any resort outlet. If you are not staying on property, you will need to arrange your own transportation and Ubers on the island are hard to come by. Please note that both events are about 15-20 minutes away from the Sanctuary, please call the shuttle in advance to arrange transportation. WILL THE RECEPTION BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?Everything will be outdoors—ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception—set against the beautiful backdrop of Kiawah's most prestigious golf course and beach. The weather should be perfect, so just bring your best look and get ready for an unforgettable night under the stars! For ladies wearing heels, we recommend a block wedge or a platform shoe as it is on a golf course! WHEN/ HOW DO I RSVP?Right here! Q + A

We have a room block at the Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah Island. If you call to book, mention the booking code 699 or tell them you are a part of the Davis/ Roben Wedding. We encourage you to book early to secure your accommodations. Kiawah Island Golf Resort provides complimentary on-demand transportation from any resort owned property to any resort outlet from 7:00AM to 11:00PM. On Saturday, we will be renting cabanas at the pool for a pool party if weather permits. Only guests who are staying at the Sanctuary will be able to utilize the pool/ cabanas. If you choose to stay in the city of Charleston, please plan for a 30-40 minute drive to Kiawah depending on traffic. No transportation will be provided to those staying in Charleston.&nbsp;We have been told it is hard to get an Uber when leaving the island so you will want to arrange some form of transportation ahead of time if you are not staying at the hotel or a villa through the hotel. For those traveling from out of state, the closest major airport is Charleston International Airport (CHS). From there, guests can rent a car or take a ride share to Kiawah Island which is around a 40 minute drive, depending on traffic.

Wednesday: History and Hops Tour

For those that are here on Wednesday, September 30th, we are doing a fun tour called History and Hops in the city of Charleston. It is from 1:00-3:00PM! If you would like to join the group, you can book with Captain Bryan at 843-780-8557. Tell him you are with the wedding party as it is a private tour :)

There are 5 to choose from: Ocean Course, Cougar Point, Oak Point, Turtle Point, Osprey Point We have arranged for a big group to play Thursday morning before the welcome party.
